I have operated my own businesses for over 30 years both in the U.K. and Australia.  I owned and operated a multi salon business in Australia for many years, employing over 20 staff during that time. I made a substantial turnover over the last five years, using proven Salon Marketing Strategies.  Since the global financial crisis I identified a big shift in the marketing needs of salons and made a conscious effort to work more ‘on’ the business and not ‘in’ the business, which is quite a difficult transition that many business owners have difficulty with.

I had to change what I did and decided to embrace the internet. It wasn’t easy, as I had to learn all the buzz words like SEO (search engine optimization), clicks, Google Adwords, and other Google services. I could go on and on here (it was hard work), but I knew I would have to find out what I could about improving my knowledge, and as a result, I discovered my passion for salon marketing.

I then sold my salons in order to focus and develop my Salon marketing skills and and Salon Marketing advertising ideas and apply that knowledge to help other salons succeed. That’s how ExpertSalonMarketing.com came into fruition.

With my developing marketing techniques and strategies learned, I was able to combat a very difficult market and still maintain a steadily increasing income stream.
